Welcome Java! Looking forward to getting to know you better! Yes, we have very high costs of real estate and energy, and those of us that have stayed willingly (happily?) pay the price. I’d say the dynamics of your immigration learning will be very helpful to adjust to Hawaii if you ever decide to make the move.

Love your story! I too felt the same way when I stepped off the plane in Maui nearly 40 years ago and feel the same way each time I return from a trip and get off the plane to this day!
