My name is Scott Boydston. My father was a career Army officer and we were stationed in many parts of the world: Europe, Middle East and military bases throughout the U.S. Texas is the last military base we were stationed before my father retired so Texas became our final home. I am a CPA having spent my career with a Big 4 Accounting Firm (KPMG) and at the corporate level of two Fortune 100 national homebuilders. My wife's name is Tran Dao-Boydston and she was born and raised in Vietnam. She left Vietnam four days before the fall of the Saigon at the age of 16. She is a Nurse Practitioner and has worked at the same major hospital in Dallas for 36 years. We have one daughter who works in finance in New York City who is engaged to be married in 2023. Tran and I will be fully retired this year and are wanting to make our move to Hawaii sometime in 2022, depending upon our ability to find a home. Over the years we have been to Oahu a number of times, Kauai twice, and Maui more times than we can remember. We have never been to the Big Island (but would love to go one day!). Maui has always called to our heart and is our happy place! We just love the varied topography of Maui from the down-country areas of sunny south Maui, West Maui (love Lahaina town!), the lush and beautiful Kapalua area, "frozen in time" east Maui (love Hana!). And we always enjoy visiting the charming towns in up-country and the amazing views of the outer islands. When we start our Hawaii life, we plan to spend a lot of time volunteering so we can help give back to our new community home.
